anyone ever have rippling? if so, why does this happen?

I had this happen when I had

I had this happen when I had my saline implants though I also heard of this happening with silicone implants as well for a variety of reasons such as being too thin for the implants.

Because of the way they are

Because of the way they are designed, all breast implants have a small amount of wrinkling or rippling. This is usually not detectable once the implants have been inserted, though it is a possibility. In general, the amount of rippling depends on several factors. Rippling may be more visible with larger implants, a smaller pre-op breast size, or when the patient has a thinner body with a thinner fat layer. If the implant is saline, it is more likely to ripple, particularly if the implant has not been filled with a high enough volume of saline. Placing the implant on top of the muscle can also increase the appearance of rippling. Consult with your surgeon to learn more about how the possibility of rippling can be reduced during your breast augmentation surgery.
