How often should you get your breast implants redone? How many years do they last and how do you know when to change them?

Hi Betsy, I had two breast

Hi Betsy, I had two breast augmentation surgeries because my first implants were saline and they totally hardened. Another friend of mine also had the same problem. I should have re-done them at 10 years but extended it out a bit longer than I should have and because of that it caused quite a bit of pain. Both my friend and I switched out silicone and we couldn't be happier. They feel so natural and sit better with our bodies. I was told that may need to replace implants every 10 years, though that isn't the case for many of my friends who have silicone implants. I think it's really a case by case basis and it's good to ask your doctor what's right for you.
