Over the past few years, several surgeons have noticed a growing trend of husbands and wives coming in together for cosmetic surgery. While couples cosmetic surgery may seem over-the-top to some people, now some couples are taking it a step further, going in for plastic surgery together with the hopes that they will end up looking alike after surgery.

According to the China Daily, one couple recently visited a cosmetic hospital seeking plastic surgery because they wanted to look like each other. The newspaper reports that the husband and wife wanted procedures designed to make them look more alike. For example, the women wanted a facelift to make her face appear thinner, like her husband's. The hospital says it's the third couple that they have seen in recent months requesting lookalike surgery.

Experts suggest that couples seeking surgery together should have a healthy attitude with realistic expectations regarding their surgery. They should also choose appropriate procedures based on mutual respect, suggests China Daily, to ensure that each partner gets what they want out of the surgical procedures.

Would you consider 'look-alike surgery' to look more like your husband or wife? And if so, which of their features are you envious of?
