Mesotherapy hair

Mesotherapy treatments have been touted as a way to make your skin appear smoother and tighter, but did you know that the same method might also be an effective treatment for thinning hair or baldness? If you have started losing hair, then you know that it can be embarrassing to live without a full head of hair. Both men and women may suffer from hair loss, prompting them to seek a variety of treatments for hair restoration.

One option, mesotherapy, uses injections into the scalp to reduce hair loss caused by medications, medical conditions, or male pattern baldness. These injections are made into the middle layers of the skin. A very thin needle delivers a tiny amount of a specially formulated solution. The mesotherapy injection contains minerals, vitamins, hormones, and hair loss medications like Finasteride (Propecia) or Monoxidil (Rogaine). Each doctor's formulation for mesotherapy hair treatments is unique; be sure to ask the doctor about the contents of your injections.

This solution is injected directly into the layer of tissue containing the hair follicles, where it acts on DHT, the hormone responsible for stimulating hair growth. Injections are placed about an inch apart; the entire treatment process takes about an hour, depending on the total area of hair loss.

Thanks to local or topical anesthesia, the procedure is pain-free. Afterwards, patients can continue their normal daily activities immediately, with no recovery period. The injected solution takes several weeks or months to take effect. It is believed that mesotherapy hair treatments work by stimulating DHT, replacing vitamins and minerals lost due to aging, and increasing blood flow to the scalp. Though no scientific studies have proven these effects, thousands of patients have found mesotherapy to be a safe and effective method for treating hair loss.
