Curad scar therapy

CURAD scar therapy pads are a new product intended to improve the look of scars that are raised, colored, or keloid. These pads are worn over the scar, over time making it appear smoother, flatter, and closer to the color and texture of the surrounding skin. This product is effective on both new and old scars, so long as the wound has closed. They can be worn anywhere on the body, including facial scars.

Curad Scar Therapy Pads are silicone pads that are flexible. These disposable, self-adhesive pads may be cut to fit the scar, and easily applied. Because of the flexibility of the silicone used, they are comfortable to wear even when in the shower or at the gym. The breathable pads let moisture evaporate to avoid excess softening or whitening of the skin during these activities.

The Curad line of scar treatment products has several advantages over similar pads designed to treat scars. Because they are clear silicone, they are virtually invisible, unlike normal bandages. This feature makes them ideal for using on scars on highly visible areas of the skin, such as the face or hands. Unlike 'flesh-toned' bandages, these pads allow your natural skin tone to show, making them less noticeable.

Many people who have used Curad to treat their scars have noticed results after wearing the pads for 3 to 4 consecutive weeks. According to Curad, the best results are achieved by wearing the pad as long as possible each day – at least 12 hours – and applying a new pad each day. While many people have experienced substantial scar reduction using this product, it is important to remember that results will vary from person to person and from scar to scar.
